Keike Twisselmann (She/Her) born in Berlin in 1967 studied fine art, philosophy, English literature, politics and law. Twisselmann was one of the founding members of Catalyst Arts Belfast. At her studio flat in a deconsecrated church right at the frontier of the Northern Irish conflict, she organized Belfast’s first art cinema and founded the “provisional German embassy”. Her public performances are part of the northern Irish “Troubles Archive” by the Ulster Museum and the Linen Hall Library’s “ExtraOrdinary Women Archive”. She moved to Berlin in 2000, where she worked in the chair committee of the BBK Berlin. The focus of her artistic work lies on performance and painting.

"'Seven', the collaborative performance/installation you, Sandra Corrigan Breathnach and Keike Twisselmann, gave recently at Catalyst Arts, in Belfast, was one of the very best performance art events I've experienced, in person, here in Belfast, since arriving in N.Ireland in 1975, forty eight years ago. It worked supremely well. My highest congratulations to you both." - Alastair MacLennan 2023
